The world-famous teppanyaki restaurant brand Benihana has confirmed the opening of Benihana Ibn Battuta at Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai, a property owned by Seven Tides International and operated by Minor Hotels.
Dordije Jabucanin, Director of Sales and Marketing at Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai, said: “We’re delighted to bring Benihana’s globally recognised dining concept to Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai, giving guests the opportunity to experience the brand’s signature live teppanyaki dining in this location for the first time.
“Our skilled chefs combine precision cooking and theatrical flair to create an unforgettable meal. Alongside this, guests can enjoy a dedicated sushi bar, Shabu Shabu, an expanded premium menu, and contemporary interiors, creating a vibrant destination for everything from family celebrations to evenings out with friends.”
Located on the hotel’s ground floor, Benihana Ibn Battuta places the brand’s iconic live teppanyaki experience centre stage, where expert chefs prepare each meal on traditional steel teppan grills while entertaining guests with the cooking techniques that have made Benihana famous worldwide.

Food is prepared in front of guests using expert knife skills and signature culinary tricks, including the famous teppanyaki egg-juggling performance, where chefs use metal spatulas to bounce, flip, and crack eggs with precision.
“The experience goes far beyond the food. Our chefs combine precision cooking with theatrical flair, transforming every meal into an interactive performance filled with energy, entertainment, and unforgettable moments. It’s immersive dining designed to be enjoyed, shared, and remembered,” Jabucanin added.
Centred on Benihana’s signature teppanyaki offering, the menu showcases premium Japanese cuisine, including the restaurant’s celebrated Japanese A5 Wagyu Teppanyaki, renowned for its rich, buttery texture and melt-in-your-mouth finish. It is complemented by dishes such as the Godzilla Roll, topped with lightly torched wagyu beef, truffle sauce, and edible gold flakes, alongside an extensive selection of sushi, sashimi, and seasonal specialities.

Benihana Ibn Battuta also offers a dedicated Shabu Shabu menu, inviting guests to enjoy a traditional communal dining experience centred on umami-rich dashi broth, premium marbled beef, fresh vegetables, and classic dipping sauces.
The tableside seating arrangement fosters a social dining atmosphere, where guests can interact directly with the chef and one another — ideal for celebrations with small groups, family, and friends, such as birthdays or anniversaries. Private and semi-private arrangements for groups can be accommodated upon request.
The 95-seat Benihana Ibn Battuta also features a vibrant, open seafood and sushi bar where guests can savour fresh sashimi and signature rolls.
For more than 60 years, Benihana has built its international reputation on live teppanyaki dining, pairing skilled chefs, premium ingredients, and engaging tableside entertainment. At Ibn Battuta, that signature experience is complemented by a sushi bar, Shabu Shabu, and a premium Japanese menu, offering guests an authentic taste of the brand’s globally recognised concept.
Benihana Ibn Battuta is open daily from 12 noon to 11pm, with live teppanyaki stations operating from 6:30pm to 11pm.
