Customs Image Maker, DC Abdullahi Maiwada Earns PhD From University of Abuja

The National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Deputy Comptroller of Customs, DC Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada, has achieved a significant academic milestone with the successful completion of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the Faculty of Arts, University of Abuja.

A feat that underscores his commitment to personal development alongside national service.

‎It also testifies his ability to balance the rigorous demands of his duty with advanced scholarly work, a milestone that continues to inspire colleagues within the Service.

‎Maiwada, who has been at the forefront of strategic communication for the Service, is known for promoting the image of the NCS.

‎Colleagues and friends have since lauded the achievement, describing it as both a personal triumph and a proud moment for him, his family and the Service.

‎His academic success reinforces the importance of continuous learning and professional excellence in public service, setting a commendable example for officers across the paramilitary and beyond.

‎The NCS Spokesperson had defended his PhD thesis titled “Assessment of Internal Communication and Employee Relations Management in the Nigeria Customs Service” at the Faculty of Arts, University of Abuja, on Wednesday 16 April 2025, when he was the Assistant Comptroller of Customs (AC).

‎Now, as a Deputy Comptroller of Customs (DC), he has successfully completed the programme, marking a major academic milestone in his career and a significant step toward strengthening professional expertise within the Nigeria Customs Service, especially among younger generations.
