NCS Warns Public Against Fake Facebook Page
Impersonating Customs
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has alerted members of the public to a fake Facebook page operating under the name “Nigeria Customs Clearance board Authority,” warning that the platform is being used to impersonate the Service and defraud unsuspecting individuals.
In a scam alert message issued by the Service on Saturday, 30 May 2026, the NCS clarified that the Facebook page is not affiliated with the agency in any form and urged the public to disregard all information, offers, requests, and communications emanating from the fraudulent account.
The Agency noted that the impersonation page was created with the intent to mislead members of the public and possibly obtain money or sensitive information through deceptive means.

It further advised the public to rely solely on its verified communication channels for official information, updates, and engagements relating to the activities of the Service.
The official social media handles, according to the NCS include: Facebook – Nigeria Customs Service; X – @customsng; Instagram – @customsng; Threads – @customsng; TikTok – @customsng.
“Nigerians are hereby encouraged to remain vigilant online and report suspicious social media pages or activities falsely claiming to represent the Service,” the NCS advised.
The Nigeria Customs Service reiterated its resolve to protecting the public from fraudsters and ensuring credible dissemination of information through its verified platforms.
