Nigeria Customs Debunks Recruitment Cancellation Claim

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has debunked a viral social media claim alleging the cancellation of its ongoing recruitment exercise, describing the information as false and not originating from the Service.

In a statement shared via its Customs/Media platform, the Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Deputy Comptroller of Customs DC Abdullahi Maiwada made this known, reaffirming the Service commitment to transparency and urging stakeholders to rely solely on information disseminated through its official communication channels.

The statement reads in full, “The attention of the qof the that the attention of the Agency has been drawn to a misleading message currently circulating on social media alleging the cancellation of an ongoing recruitment exercise.

“The Service wishes to categorically state that the information is false and did not originate from the Nigeria Customs Service. There has been no official announcement regarding the cancellation of any recruitment process.

“Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard the message and refrain from sharing unverified information.

“The NCS reiterates its commitment to transparency and urges stakeholders to rely solely on information disseminated through its official communication channels.
