NIMASA DG Tasks Christians on Spiritual Renewal, Sober Reflection at Easter

The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has called on Christians across the country to use the Easter celebration as a period for sober reflection, spiritual renewal, and renewed commitment to national development.

In his Easter message on Sunday, 5 April 2026, Mobereola emphasised that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ embody the enduring values of sacrifice, hope, and renewal, urging believers to draw inspiration from these ideals in their daily lives.

He encouraged Christians to deepen their faith in God while sustaining hope in Nigeria, noting that Easter presents an opportunity for fresh beginnings and a renewed sense of purpose.

“The Easter celebration, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, should inspire renewed purpose, fresh beginnings, and continued sacrifice in service to the nation and humanity,” he said.

The NIMASA boss further charged Christians to uphold virtues such as love, compassion, discipline, empathy, and sacrifice, stressing that these values are fundamental to fostering patriotism and driving national growth and development.

Mobereola also urged all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of Easter by working collectively towards building a safer, more prosperous nation.
