Kaduna Customs Inaugurates Revamped Senior Officers’ Mess at Kabala Doki Barracks

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kaduna Area Command, on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, inaugurated a fully revamped Senior Officers’ Mess at the Kabala Doki Customs Barracks, Kaduna.
The upgraded Mess was formally opened by the Zonal Coordinator, Zone B, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Nsika Umoh, who represented the Comptroller-General of Customs at the event, with the Customs Area Controller (CAC) Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan.
In a press release issued on Friday, 19 December 2025, by the Command Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Customs Dauda Adamu, for the Customs Area Controller, the upgraded Mess is designed to provide a befitting and functional environment for official engagements, fitness activities, and social interaction among senior officers.
According to the statement, ACG Nsika Umoh commended Comptroller Hassan and his management team for their initiative and prudent utilisation of resources in delivering a project that directly enhances officers’ welfare.

She noted that the renovation aligns with the broader reform agenda of the Comptroller-General of Customs, which prioritises improved working conditions, professionalism, and discipline as key drivers of effective revenue generation, trade facilitation, and border security.
“I want to urge you all to be disciplined. You have been given a responsibility and task to manage this place, and I hope that when we come back next year, we will still see it at this standard,” ACG Umoh said.
In a remark, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan expressed appreciation to the Zonal Coordinator, ACG Nsika Umoh, ACG Idriss Abba-Aji, and other Comptrollers in attendance for their continued support.
“The Command will continue to prioritise projects that add value to officers’ welfare and operational efficiency”, the CAC stated.
The Customs Area Controller also urged all users of the facility to maintain it in a manner that will reflect the core values and standard of the Nigeria Customs Service.
