LFTZ Customs Boss Targets Higher Revenue in Coming Months

Customs Area Controller of Lagos Free Trade Zone Command, Comptroller Hauwa Abubakar has expressed optimism and determination to surpass the N72 billion revenue mark achieved by her predecessor, Rtd Comptroller Abdulwahab Olanrewaju Olumoh, in August 2025.

Speaking after a decoration ceremony of the newly promoted Officers on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, Comptroller Abubakar set a higher revenue target, promising that the Command’s next record will exceed the August figure.

She also congratulated the promoted Officers emphasising that promotion brings responsibilities, including collaboration, consolidation, and innovation within the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) act.

Comptroller Abubakar urged the Officers to work transparently and generate more revenue for the Command.

The Lagos Free Trade Zone Customs’ Helmsman further encouraged yet to be promoted Officers, stating promotion comes from God and their time will come. She concluded urging them not to relent in achieving set mandate.
