TCIPC Generates N128.4 Billion Revenue in May 2025

The TinCan Island Port Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded a remarkable feat of One Hundred and Twenty Eight Billion, Four Hundred and Forty Six Million, Three Hundred and Twenty Three Thousand, Two Hundred and Twenty Four Naira, Seventy Nine Kobo (₦128,446,323,224.79) only, as revenue for the month of May, 2025.
According to information gathered on Saturday, 7 June 2025, the figure represents a significant increase from ₦92,671,603,418.04 generated in May 2024.
Notably, the Command’s revenue figure for April 2025 was ₦145 billion, which is higher than ₦95.5 billion recorded in April 2024.

This consistent growth highlights the Command’s effectiveness in revenue generation. It can also be attributed to the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka’s alignment with the policies of Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi. A strategic approach that has enabled the Command to optimize revenue collection while promoting legitimate trade.
Under the leadership of Comptroller Onyeka, the Command has consistently broken revenue records and Stakeholders have continued to commend the Command’s engagement, describing it as top-notch. He has always emphasised the importance of legitimate trade facilitation, ensuring that the trade is not harmful to the economy.
His leadership approach has continued to yield positive results, with month-on-month performance showing significant increases in revenue generation.
The Tin Can Island Port Command’s record-breaking performances demonstrated its commitment to excellence in revenue generation, trade facilitation, and anti-smuggling activities and with Comptroller Onyeka’s leadership style, the Command is poised to achieve more favorable results.
