PTML Customs Announces ₦424.5b Revenue, as COWA Chapter Marks 2025 End of Year Party

The Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of Nigeria Customs Service has said it generated a revenue figure of ₦424,584,608,992.26 as at Friday, 12 December 2025, reflecting a difference of over ₦62 billion from the total amount of N362.5 billion generated in 2024 despite remaining two weeks to close the year.

Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Joe Anani made the announcement at the 2025 end of year party organised by the Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter.

In a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Customs Abdullahi Tsafe Abubakar for the Area Controller, Comptroller Anani said the collection showed a greater prospect for more benefits in the ful implementation of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) also known as B’Odogwu

Anani stated that the command has already surpassed it’s 2024 total collection of ₦362.5b with over ₦62b even when this year has not ended.

While describing 2025 as an eventful year that featured various accomplishments for the Command under the guidance of the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the Area Controller assured readiness to achieve one hour clearance time for compliant Roll On Roll Off (RoRo) cargoes in 2026.

Comptroller Anani retrieved how the Command successfully prevented smuggling of illicit and expired drugs, arms and ammunition and other prohibited items which could have endangered the lives of Nigerians if allowed into the country.

He lauded the seizure of N29.4bn worth of cocaine which was successfully handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as a great anti-smuggling feat.

Anani attributed the Command’s achievements to the support received from government and private institutions.

The Area Controller extended appreciation to the Nigeria Police, Department of State Service, Standards Organisation of Nigeria, National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control and other sister agencies for their support

Also speaking at the event, COWA Chairperson for PTML Chapter, Mrs Caroline Ifeoluwa Anani described the party as a continuation of PTML Command’s tradition of creating sense of belonging, known for its inclusivity.

She acknowledged the critical role played by COWA PTML Chapter in the year 2025, noting the importance of maintaining a stable homefront in boosting productivity.

Mrs Anani informed that COWA at PTML extended medical outreach to members, concentrating on mental health awareness programme, Blood pressure and sugar test, eye screening, treatment and donation of medicated glasses .

Women were also empowered through seminars on home management, food and nutrition, family care products and provision of souvenirs to each COWA husbands in PTML.

Highlight of the event was the donation of food items by the Chairperson of COWA PTML chapter to women and children to mark the 2025 end of year party.
