Nurturing the Next Gen: Dr Segun Musa Advocates 2H and I Philosophy for a Brighter Future

The Managing Director of Widescope Group, Dr Olusegun Musa, has emphasised the importance of instilling values like humility, humanity, and integrity in younger people.

He shared his “2H and I” philosophy, while speaking on the Impact of Gen Z’s sustainability, in his office on Thursday, 29 January 2026, highlighting the need for role models and moral upbringing.

Dr. Musa stressed that these values are critical in building the younger generation.

He recalled his childhood, where he was taught to respect elders and not to flaunt wealth, and advised parents to teach their children on contentment, humility, and humanity.

He also warned against over-pampering children, saying it can destroy their future.

The widescope Group of Companies Chief, further encouraged parents to create time for their children, make them their best friends, and teach them basic morals. He charged parents to know their children’s friends and separate them from bad influences, and also called for the need to monitor children’s activities and be good role models.

He highlighted the challenges of parenting in this digital age, where children are exposed to various vices and influences.

The philanthropist, known for his transformative service to humanity, advised parents to be vigilant, spy on their children occasionally, and teach them how to navigate the digital world.

Dr Segun concluded stressing that integrity is a master key that can open any door. He advised parents to teach their children the importance of integrity and to lead by example. “With these values, the young generation can prosper and make a positive impact,”Dr. Olusegun posited.
