Customs Rolls Out B’Odogwu in Kebbi Command

As part of the ongoing Modernisation programme, the Kebbi Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has successfully rolled out the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) codenamed B’Odogwu, processing its first Single Good Declaration (SGD) on Thursday, 14th of August 2025.

The historic event took place during a sensitization exercise on the B’ODOGWU platform, conducted by ICT Modernisation Officers for Officers and Stakeholders of the Command.

In statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu on Monday,16 August 2025, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller CC Nwokorie, expressed his profound appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for entrusting him with the leadership of the Kebbi Command and for championing such an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing revenue generation and promoting seamless trade facilitation.

He urged Officers and Stakeholders to give utmost attention to the sensitization exercise, stressing that B’ODOGWU represents the future of Customs operations.

He emphasized that as a vital revenue generation tool, it is essential for Officers to acquire adequate knowledge of the platform and its applications.

Following the training session, during which Licensed Agents and Traders were guided on registration and effective use of the platform, the Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents, Kebbi State Chapter, Alhaji Muhammad Nahali Kamba, commended the Comptroller-General for the initiative and pledged the association’s commitment to complying with all guidelines governing its use.

The event concluded with a group photograph and exchange of pleasantries, signifying the collective commitment to embracing innovation for improved service delivery.
