Comptroller Shuaibu Kaila Takes Over Mantle of Leadership at FOU ‘D’ with Renewed Commitment

Comptroller Abdullahi Shuaibu Kaila has formally taken over as the new Comptroller Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone D of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), succeeding Comptroller Abubakar Lawal Umar who has retired.

According to a statement signed by the Unit’s Public Relations Officer, Umar Abdullahi, the brief but dignified handover ceremony was held at the Unit’s Headquarters in Bauchi on Monday, 8 December 2025.

Rtd Comptroller Umar expressed profound gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR and the entire management team for entrusting him with the Unit’s activities and for the unwavering support given to him during his tenure.

He also commended the dedication and resilience of the Officers and Men of the Unit whose hard work paid off as significant achievements were recorded in anti-smuggling operations and revenue.

The new Comptroller, Abdullahi Shuaibu Kaila was formally in charge of ICT Headquarters before taking over the mantle of leadership of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone D with renewed commitment to leverage and surpass his predecessor’s achievements.
