The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has felicitated with Christians as Nigerians join the rest of the world to mark Christmas.
In a goodwill message shared via the Agency’s official social media platforms, on Thursday, 25 December 2025, CGC Adeniyi urged Nigerians to extend peace to the nation by being compliant traders and shunning illegal activities.
He emphasized that Christmas is a time to remember the birth of Christ and the gift of peace he brought to the world.
“Christmas reminds us of the birth of Christ and the gift of peace he brought to the world,” the CGC said. “As we celebrate the season, may we extend that peace to our nation.”
The Customs boss called on traders to promote a culture of compliance, shun smuggling and every form of illicit trade as this would contribute to Nigeria’s peace and prosperity.
“On behalf of Officers and Men of the Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Adeniyi wishes Nigerians a Merry Christmas,” the message concluded.
