Recruitment Process: NCS Cautions Applicants Against Scammers Circulating False Shortlist Information

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has again warned applicants participating in its current recruitment process to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to scammers using fraudulent websites and messages to circulate false shortlisting information.
A disclaimer issued by the Service on Friday reads that, “The Nigeria Customs Service is NOT currently recruiting. Beware of fraudulent messages and websites claiming otherwise. When the official shortlist is released, it will be communicated ONLY through our official channels”.
The Service had once issued a disclaimer in this regard in January 2025, when the scammers requested for payment, personal banking details, and confidential information from applicants using fraudulent channels, which the NCS never requests.
The scammers has resurfaced with bogus shortlisting announcements.
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) thus informed through it’s Public Relations Unit that it has been made aware of fraudulent claims regarding the release of official shortlists and advised applicants to exercise caution due to the emergence of scams falsely claiming the official shortlisting will be announced in April 2025.

Applicants are this advised not to fall prey to the antics of these scammers, stay vigilant and stay safe and also report fraudulent activities to the appropriate authorities.
